Tanisha Jumper, Vice President, Community Impact
Tanisha JumperTanisha Jumper is Vice President, Community Impact for United Way of the Greater Dayton Area.  In this role, Tanisha leads United Way’s efforts to both fund and provide quality health and human service programs and initiatives that serve Montgomery, Greene and Preble Counties.  As the leader of United Way’s Community Impact department, Tanisha provides direct management for the organization’s allocations process, which grants millions of dollars in annual funding for United Way’s network of more than 70 partner agencies.  Additionally, she supervises many of United Way’s community engagement activities and special programs, including United Way’s Volunteer Connection and Public Policy programs.

Originally hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Tanisha moved to the region to pursue a degree in Political Science at Wilberforce University.  After graduating with her Bachelor’s degree, her passions kept her in the region as she began her career in the nonprofit arena.  Tanisha has a wealth of experience in health and human service management, having served as a case manager and supervisor at Miami Valley Child Development Centers and a vice president at Unified Health Solutions.  Tanisha began her career at United Way as our Director of Allocations and Agency Relations before being promoted into her current role. 

Tanisha is actively involved in her community and has participated in numerous projects and committees, including the Promise Neighborhood Planning Committee, the Community Initiative to Reduce Gun Violence, and the Homeless Solutions Policy Board.  She is a Girl Scouts troop leader, has served for two years as a board member for Dayton Habitat for Humanity, and is a 2005 graduate of Leadership Dayton.  She enjoys spending time with her family and is actively involved in her children’s many sporting activities.
