Report to Stakeholders - March 2011
The primary message of this year’s campaign was “Reinventing Hope”.  We have high hopes for our community’s future, and we had high hopes that we would receive the support necessary to make a positive difference.  Thanks to you, we have raised over $8.4 million.

We anticipate the final total to match last year's level of $8.5 million by the June 30th end of our fiscal year. Thanks to United Way’s stewardship, cost reductions, and positive pledge collections from prior year campaigns, we happily report that United Way partner program funding will continue at the same level in the coming year -- which is especially welcome news when you consider that the partner agencies delivered services to nearly 100,000 more people last year.

We were able to accomplish this in large part because 33 companies increased their campaigns by 30% plus, 16 organizations increased by $5,000 plus while another 8 grew by $10,000 or more.  And our push for new supporters was achieved with 35 companies running campaigns for the very first time.  These organizational efforts combined with thousands of renewing and new individual donors equate to some great news for our community and the partner agencies who serve the young and young at heart.

To me “LIVE UNITED” means that we each can make a difference in making Montgomery, Greene and Preble counties a much better place to live. Helen Keller wrote, “The world is moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of tiny pushes of each honest worker.”  And so we thank you for the part you have played -- whether it be to give, advocate or volunteer -- in our efforts to move our community along the road back to prosperity and hope.
