Funding Opportunities
for Retired Government Employees
When
federal employees retire from service, they lose the convenience of
giving their charitable contributions through the Combined Federal
Campaign. United Way of the Greater Dayton Area has implemented a new
program called Miami Valley FORGE -- Funding Opportunities for Retired
Government Employees -- that is designed to restore those charitable
giving options. By signing up at www.miamivalleyforge.org,
retirees can consolidate their annual giving, and members can pay their
pledges in small amounts deducted from a checking or savings account
throughout the year, mirroring the ease of payroll deduction.
Hundreds of organizations can receive funding through FORGE, allowing
members the freedom to choose how they want to make a lasting impact in
their community and beyond. |
