Day of Action (formerly Community Care Day)
United Way’s Day of Action (formerly Community Care Day)  takes place on the first friday in June. This event is an annual day of volunteerism mobilizing hundreds of local volunteers to complete community service projects throughout Montgomery, Greene and Preble Counties.  In 2007, nearly 600 volunteers completed 67 projects throughout the Miami Valley and contributed more than 2,600 hours of service at a value of over $50,000.  Our volunteers are individuals and groups from local companies, organizations and the community.  All ages, including youth and adults, are welcome to participate as volunteers in this event.
