agencies, schools, government, and other organizations to enhance early
childhood developent and ensure children have the assets they need to
become productive adults. |

Right
here in our community, far too many families are walking a financial
tightrope and barely getting by. Your local United Way is working to
help these hard-working families turn that tightrope into solid ground
by funding programs like credit counseling and job training along with
providing outreach to dislocated workers, homeowners facing
foreclosure, and families eligible for tax credits.

The health of a person ... or a community ... has a major impact on the quality of life for us all.

funding health-related programs to serving on a local coalition to
address the needs of the uninsured ... from linking people to services
